I've tried every one of Bare Escentuals travel sized/purse sized products with a messy result. The technology used in this compact is brilliant and there are no spills or excess that builds up. It's a bit more bulky than a pressed powder compact because you have to carry the brush too but that's a small price to pay for the portability of a great product.
