Astara Violet Flame works as a mild exfoliator and refresher. I used it 15 years ago and thought it was ok then, but it seems so much better now. Perhaps with 15 years more age on my face I have more need of refreshing than in the past.
The mask has an odd smell at once familiar and yet unidentifiable, maybe owing to a particular herb or to a combination, or perhaps to the enzymes. It smells a little like sour pineapple - papain perhaps.
